Taiwan-based Taisys Holding Co., Ltd. and European telecom operator JOIN Experience announced their cooperation. Europe has always been a hotspot for Asian tourists, particularly after 2015 when the number of Chinese tourists increased by 50%, which has augmented offshore telecommunication’s demand. Marching into emerging markets, JOIN Experience started cooperating with Taisys to launch the prepaid plan “Prepaid Flat Rate for 39 European Countries” over the slimduet platform.

Beginning cooperation with worldwide telecom operators in 2014, Taisys helps slimduet subscribers to realize the convenience of “One world, one SIM” with its patented slimduet technology, which enables permanent uses of SIM and multiple numbers from multiple countries with soft SIM OTA download services. JOIN Experience is a new partner of the slimduet® App (note) from Europe after Taisys’ operation with telecom operators in Hong Kong, Japan, South Korea, the UK, the USA, Taiwan, and Singapore. With the slimduet platform from Taisys, both parties expand service to Greater China and the world. Effortel Technology SA, another Taisys partner, has also joined the cooperation to accelerate the global deployment of slimduet.

With European countries having deregulated their visa restrictions for Chinese tourists and after the launch of the European quantitative easing, the number of Chinese tourists has increased in folds. According to UNTWO statistics, Europe is the most visited region in the world, with a total of 588.8 million tourists by 2014. Over the slimduet platform, consumers can enjoy stable mobile telecommunications service at local rates. The plan includes voice, text and data covering popular tourism regions: France, the UK, the Netherlands, Belgium, Luxemburg and Ireland in Western Europe; Germany, Switzerland and Austria in Central Europe; Spain, Italy and Greece in Southern Europe; Hungary, Poland and Czech in Eastern Europe; and Iceland, Norway and Sweden in Scandinavia.
